If and when we do make a mistake, Rural Air is dedicated to reviewing our customer’s concerns with no hassle, making every reasonable effort to correct any error and bringing peace of mind. This is the Rural Air Vision: We put our neighbors ahead of our pocketbooks.

Rheem A/C, Furnaces, HVAC
I have consistently found Rheem to be a superior product. Compared to other brands, its construction is sound yet uncomplicated, it is user friendly, and it is priced competitively considering that other brands offer less at near the same price. Parts are typically easily obtained when needed, and technical support continually proves to be accessible and competent. I have found that this is not always the case with other brands.

What to Avoid
Energy Efficiency is on everyone’s mind these days. Many brands are priced about the same as Rheem, and some are nearly twice the price. Regardless of price, it is our experience that the following brands should be absolutely avoided as they are poorly engineered, poorly built, and difficult to either operate or maintenance, or prove to need frequent repairs.: Daikin products: Goodman, Amana; Carrier Products: ICP, Day n Night, Grandaire, Tempstar, Comfortmaker, Payne, Heil, Bryant; Lennox, and Frigidaire

Mobile Home Furnaces
Revolv is our brand for mobile home furnaces. Rural AZ has a lot of mobile homes and Building Codes require that specially made mobile home furnace are used for all interior applications. Outside closets with access to fresh air are the exception. Typically, a mobile home furnace is located inside the home, however. There are three brands currently on the market, and all three are identical in every way except for the sticker on the door. Revolv furnaces and evap coils are consistently priced lowest of the three for us, and that savings is passed on to our customers.

Braeburn Thermostat
Every install includes a new Braeburn thermostat. Like our Rheem brand units, for us the Braeburn is the preferred brand of thermostat. In our experience, customers have experienced the most satisfaction with this thermostat. Options of programmable and non-programmable are available, but we find that most customers prefer the simple operation of non-programmable. Unlike its nearest competitor, Honeywell, this features a large digital screen which is easier for those of impaired vision to see. It also features a backlight which illuminates around the digits, making it user friendly even in the dark. The simple up/down buttons, the heat/off/cool switch, make this model extremely practical, functional, and uncomplicated for every sort of user.

Ductless Mini-Split
Maybe you have heard of the Ductless Mini Split. These systems are taking the country by storm. The efficiency and ease of operation is incomparable to the traditional central heating and cooling systems. Gree is the brand Rural Air goes to for Mini Split systems. Now, Rural Air is a Gree Select Dealer. This means that while anyone can install a Gree in your home, Rural Air can now offer our customers the 10-year extended warranty on the unit. They are perfect for office spaces, an extra room, even certain whole-home multi-zone options. Mini Splits are a wonder of technology. Quiet operation, low impact on space, easy to install. Everyone from Home Depot to Amazon, and many unknowns in between, convince home owners to buy one and Do-It-Yourself install. This dishonest marketing has left many of our customers with short-lived units, major repairs, and complete re-install. When you come to Rural Air, you receive quality units, expert installation, 2-year installation warranty, 10-year parts warranty, easy access to replacement parts, and ready technical support. Why gamble your hard-earned money on unknown and untrained sources? Rural Air is a safe choice for Ductless Mini Splits.

RectorSeal Voltage Monitor
Early in 2022, our Rheem tech support introduced us to this product after we had a new unit damaged by a power fluctuation. He recommended the RectorSeal RSH-50 as he uses it on his own home. Since that time, we have installed this item on every new unit install. It has proven to be an excellent investment for our customers. Traditional surge protectors only guard against power surges, such as a nearby lightening strike. Lately, power outages and brownouts have become more common than lightening. It is the power drop that proves more damaging than power surges, because when voltage drops even a little, there is a corresponding increase in amperage. The amperage creates heat, which causes electrical components to melt or explode.

EZ Change Filter Rack & the Filter Grill
In my experience, the number one reason for premature failure of an air conditioning unit is due to dirty filters. It is too often not understood the need for changing of filters monthly. A dirty filter will cause an air conditioning unit to ice up and cease operation. The greater consequence is that dirty filters cause permanent damage to the compressor and blower motors. Motors are easily replaced, though costly. Compressors can be replaced at significant expense. Even then, debris trapped inside the refrigerant circuit from a damaged compressor can be catastrophic to any unit. Meet the EZ Change Filter Rack. This product is a simple sheet metal base that sits under the furnace. It has a magnetic door that lifts open and has guides built into either side. The old filter slides easily out and the new filter slides right into place. Even a child could perform this basic maintenance. For a package air conditioning unit, typically on the roof, we have the filter grill. Right overhead, the hinged door easily drops down, the new filter placed in the frame, the grill returned to closed, and good for another month.
